Less than a year after opening the Inn at the Presidio, The Presidio Trust began an expansion of the property. The 1889 Commanding Officer’s family quarters was converted to provide additional guest rooms for the Inn at the Presidio. Now called The Funston House, the site is an intimate guest experience in the renovated historic officer’s home located 30 yards from The Inn at the Presidio. The four-room extension of the Inn contains original art, and has the feeling of being hidden amongst a forest across from turn of the 20th century officer’s homes.
