Originally built in 1906 as a warehouse, this historically significant brick building located in Berkeley was fully restored and converted into a chocolate factory. Improvements included a complete seismic and building systems upgrade, restoration of a brick barrel vault ceiling, office and retail buildout, and design/build piping to the restored vintage chocolate production machinery imported from Europe.
The Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association recognized this project with an historic preservation award in 2001. |
