| Tiffany & Co. / Qantas Airways Building Restack and Exterior Renovation 70,000 square feet Concrete & Stone Masonry Architect: Werner & Sullivan The former Qantas Building, located on Union Square in San Francisco, required 15 phases for a 7-floor complete remodel and restack to accommodate a new Tiffany store on the ground floor and mezzanine. The 2-story façade renovation involved demolition of the existing façade and addition of new structure and anchoring systems for the new skin. The stone façade incorporated the original design of the building while reflecting the design requirements of the new tenant, Tiffany & Co. Herrero also completed the interior buildout of the Tiffany & Co. Retail Store. “The use of the material, the cornice detailing and execution are excellent. There is a richness to the materials and a layering in their application which gives the building some dimension.” |
