Rooftop Chiller Replacement

The two new chiller units are located on the rooftop of the UCSF Medical Center’s Parnassus Campus. This mechanical infrastructure project included the installation of two large chiller units and their associated structural steel bases on the medical center’s rooftop. In addition to extremely limited site access and materials staging areas, the project involved numerous coordinated shutdowns of the facility’s chilled water riser system in order to install and commission the complex series of mechanical piping systems for the new equipment.
