Nueva School - Hillsborough 1 Story Library, 3 Story Classroom, 1 Story Student Center 3 Buildings with an approximate area of 24,000 square feet. The project also consists of extensive site work Architect: Leddy Maytum Stacy The project began in May of 2006 and was completed in Sept of 2007. • The Classroom Building consists of classrooms, and R&D Area, and administrative area. • The Library consists of the Stacks, Media Lab, and Teaching/Tudor Rooms. • The Student Center consists of a Kitchen and Dining Area. • The Site Works consists of a parking lot, extensive site utilities, a plaza/seating area and extensive landscaped areas. The project is planned to achieve a LEED Gold certification. Some of the green features include: a 30KW photovoltaic system, living roofs, low/no VOC finishes, construction waste recycling, low water usage by using such items as dual flush toilets, radiant heat floor system, operable windows. |
