Kaiser Oakland Interventional Radiology Suite Remodel for new IR Suite 5,318 square feet Type I, OSHPD Architect: AKOL Architects Herrero constructed two interventional radiology procedure rooms in the fully occupied, operating Kaiser Oakland Hospital. Working closely with Kaiser during preconstruction, Herrero provided cost estimating, value engineering, disruption mitigation planning, phasing and materials staging that successfully kept surrounding services operating. Herrero's Superintendent coordinated the work between Philips, the subcontractors and Kaiser facility engineers to ensure that structural support steel and new mechanical/ electrical systems all fit into the very limited above the ceiling space.
