Herrero is building an innovative mixed-use project for a public-private joint venture between South of Market Health Center and Mercy Housing California. The project will combine affordable housing and a community medical center to serve the need for more primary and family health services in the SoMa district of San Francisco.

The project, which is located on 7th Street in San Francisco between Howard and Folsom Streets, will consist of approximately 48 affordable housing units, a 20,0000sf community health center, a common room, a small pharmacy, and subsurface parking. The new health center will include exam rooms, dental services, and on-site space for supplemental health care services such as health education, social services, and HIV/AIDS services.
