Historic Restoration of Buildings 681-683 Schofield Road

Herrero rehabilitated three historic buildings for the Presidio Trust in San Francisco. The project, which has been pre-certified LEED Gold, includes the restoration of three buildings: 681 (barracks), 682 (enlisted men's barracks) and 683 (day room offices) that were formerly occupied by the Army as the Religious Activity Center.

The rehabilitation included: seismic strengthening, masonry restoration, painting, sheet metal work, miscellaneous metal work, re-roofing and other materials restoration; installation of ADA accessibility upgrades; and new HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, utilities upgrades and connection, installation of a shower facility and bike racks in the basement and exterior building lighting. The project also included improvements to site circulation, parking and landscape design.
